We take cleanliness and hygiene seriously at Freedom Suites — it's a big part of what makes this a space everyone's proud to work from. That starts with all of us respecting each other's space and cleaning up after ourselves.
A few simple habits keep our kitchen and common areas clean and harmonious for everyone:
- Our kitchens are fitted out to a high standard with cutlery, crockery, glassware and more, so we ask every freelancer to help keep this area clean and presentable. It matters enough that if it's consistently not looked after, it can put your suite licence at risk — but we'd always much rather work with you to fix it than get anywhere near that point.
- Please wash, dry and put away all dishes and cups — try not to stack them "to dry" or leave them in the sink. If you're in a hurry, a quick rinse and into the dishwasher works too, or keep dirty cups in your suite until you have a moment.
- Wash cups and plates in hot water with dishwashing detergent, or pop them in the dishwasher.
- Please start the dishwasher every night.
- First one in? Unstacking the dishwasher is a lovely way to look after your community.
- We provide dishcloths and hand towels — for hygiene, please save the hand towels for hands and don't use dishcloths to dry them.
- Please help keep our common areas clean by sweeping up hair between clients. Hair in hallways and shared spaces creates a slip hazard, makes the space look untidy, and affects the professional presentation of our community. If you notice hair that's come from your suite or a client's shoes, please take a moment to pick it up.
- If you notice something messy or untidy, please be the first to quickly clean it up.
- Please take kitchen waste out to the skip bins once full, and keep salon waste out of the kitchen bin.
